The S.E.E.D.S. Center (Sowing Entrepreneur and Economic Development Success) is a regional resource program serving Berrien, Brooks, Cook, Echols, Lanier, Lowndes, and Turner County. Five of the seven Communities has been designated Entrepreneur Friendly by Sonny Perdue and the State's One Georgia entrepreneur and economic development initiative. The initiative was set forth in order for small communities to develop by providing continued support to entrepreneurs and small businesses.

Azalea Health Innovations, Inc. (AHI), winner of the Guardian Bank Business Plan Competition, is a healthcare services company providing products and services to healthcare providers in the South Georgia, North Florida areas. AHI is located in beautiful downtown Valdosta Georgia and prides itself on its superior local service and support.
AHI was founded by three Valdosta State University graduates all working together at Doctors Laboratory Inc, a regional medical laboratory in Valdosta GA. CEO Baha Zeidan has extensive experience in Healthcare Information Technology Management. Baha has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in Healthcare Information Technology. CFO Douglas Swords has a Bachelors Degree in Finance and is a Certified Healthcare Reimbursement Specialist thru the National Electronic Billers Alliance. CIO Dan Henry also has a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science and has been developing Custom Web Applications for Healthcare providers his entire career. Rounding out the team is new hire Mark Poole, AHI’s Senior Support Manager. Mark is extremely talented and experienced in Healthcare IT Support and is pursuing his Bachelors Degree in Information Technology.
While working in the healthcare industry, AHI’s founders saw an immediate need for the products and services they currently provide. Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Healthcare IT are the future of the industry as the government has mandated and begun offering incentives for the adoption of EMR systems in the coming years. AHI offers award winning, board certified EMR medical record systems and are experts in the support and interfacing of these systems. Working directly in Medical Finance for several years, CFO Douglas Swords understands the increased complexity behind medical billing. He is also aware of the difficulty of keeping up with the latest rules and regulations behind Insurance Company reimbursement. Healthcare providers are increasingly moving towards professional medical billers saving themselves time and money. CIO Dan Henry is developing a web application called Azalea LabHub, which is an online medical laboratory ordering and reporting system targeted toward physicians with in-house laboratories. The Azalea LabHub system will consolidate all of the laboratory ordering and reporting into one system, including in-house and outside reference laboratories.
